Complexity is the exact combinatorial count for a fully connected network of the owner plus every box: for n boxes, complexity = C(n+1, 2) = (n+1)·n / 2. Going from 4 to 8 boxes multiplies complexity by 3.6x (10 → 36) even though the box count only doubled; 8 → 12 boxes multiplies by 2.2x (36 → 78); 12 → 16 boxes multiplies by 1.7x (78 → 136). Complexity keeps compounding faster than headcount or revenue, even as the multiplier itself gradually shrinks.
